Happy father’s day
to my fellow weirdos
Among mammals, mothers are so damn good at their job that in most species the fathers don’t even know who their offspring are. (It’s different with birds.) Today I’m happy to be part of one of the few, weird mammal species where the dads not only know their offspring but even provide for them. We’re not chimps or bonobos!
